The Moyock Farm Market
Even though I’ve lived just across the border from Moyock, North Carolina for many years, it is still a fairly new place for me. My usual experiences are passing through on my way to the Outer Banks or making a quick trip across the border for fireworks. It hasn’t been until recently that I’ve been spending more and more time exploring the area. Part of it is due to the fact that we are gearing up for construction in our newest community, Waterleigh, off of Tulls Creek Road. The other part is that my grandparents have recently moved to Moyock from Bedford and having them so much closer means we get to spend a lot more time together. On a recent visit to their home, I stumbled across the most charming farm stand. It was later in the evening when I passed by and it was all lit up, just perfect for an Instagram worthy photo shoot. Because it was late, there was no one there to ring me up, however, they operate on the honor system so everything was still available for purchase. This isn’t so common in this day and age and reminds me that
Moyock still offers a piece of the small town lifestyle that so many people crave.The selection was incredible and the produce looked amazing. I couldn’t resist picking up a blooming geranium and a container of gum drops. You simply leave your contact info so that they can call you for payment the next day or send them the amount via Paypal, whichever method is easier for you. For our buyers that move to Waterleigh, this is so convenient to swing by on your way home from work or to make a quick trip after hours when you realize you forgot snacks for movie night. This is my new favorite place in Moyock and I hope you take the time to stop by and check it out for yourself too!
